Econorun route map layout
The Econorun route map is a roll containing sequential numbered route instructions. This map is fitted inside a route map box (e.g. a plastic food container) on the bike and the competitor sequentially scroll through the map as indicated waypoints are passed.
Also see the Econorun Map box.
The route map consists of frames that displays the following:
- The required time of arrival at that specific waypoint e.g. arriving at a T junction, a stop street, going past a road sign etc.
- The instruction to follow e.g. Turn right at junction, go through a robot (following traffic rules), or it contains information e.g. road sign "Hazyview 30km"
- The odometer reading when arriving at that way point. (The bike's odometer reading can vary slightly against the indicated odometer reading, depending on the percentage gain or loss of your bike’s odometer.)
- The instruction sequence number. In other words you will scroll the map down to read the next frames.
